Holly MacKinnon is a Montreal artist, originally from the Hudson/St-Lazare area of Quebec. She is most known for her oil paintings on canvas, though her practice also includes work on paper, watercolor and writing. Most recently, her work deals with ideas of memory, sensory experiences, and the spaces we inhabit.

She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from NSCAD University and has done residencies in Iceland (Fish Factory Creative Centre), Portugal (PADA Studios) and Montreal (Les 7 doigts). She is most known for her oil paintings on canvas, though her practice also includes work on paper, watercolor and writing. Her work has been shown at Wishbone Art Gallery (Montreal), Stewart Hall Art Gallery (Pointe-Claire), McBride Contemporain (Montreal), Rad Hourani Gallery (Montreal), Halifax Archives (Halifax NS), Anna Leonowens Gallery (Haliax NS), and Good Sport Gallery (London ON). Her current studio space is located inside of a Buddhist centre.
